Build and test hydraulic equipment under the direction of the engineering staff. Have strong working knowledge of hydraulic testing circuits.

Scope/Supervision & Interaction

Communicate and work with engineering while reporting to Lab Manager

RESPONSIBILIES:

  • Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions.
  • Understand and be able to troubleshoot a working hydraulic circuit.
  • Set up test units and instrumentation and responsibility monitor test performance.
  • Build and test pumps, motors, valves and other hydraulic components.
  • Build POC (Proof of Concept) machines / Sub-assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Accurately use all lab measuring equipment.
  • Analyze test results and write reports with recommendations on appropriate action.
  • Provide engineering advice and assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Provide excellent service for and maintain communications with internal/external customers at all times.
  • Promote the culture of Leand and strive for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Work well without direct supervision
  • Previous lab technician experience is preferred
  • Physical position that requires lifting and moving of heavy components and equipment
