Summary:

Meitheal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated National Accounts Director to serve as the primary liaison between the company and national customers, including GPOs, IHNs, wholesalers, and distributors. This role plays a critical part in expanding Meitheal's market presence and ensuring effective contract management. The National Accounts Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive sales growth and uphold Meitheal's commitment to customer satisfaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather market intelligence on competitive developments and products.
  • Conduct professional business review meetings and address customer service issues.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key customers through face-to-face interactions.
  • Collaborate with Contract Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, Regulatory/Labelling, and Finance teams to ensure contract visibility and effectiveness.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships to drive new business and retain existing business.
  • Provide strategic direction for sales growth with key customers.
  • Implement sales and marketing initiatives to achieve budget and company goals.
  • Manage existing product portfolio within assigned accounts.
  • Gather relevant information to support successful product launches.
  • Participate in the development of sales strategies by product and customer.

Supervisory:

This role initially does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities but may evolve to manage a team of field-based Major Account Executives (MAEs) and other National Account personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or related field.
  • Experience in establishing key accounts at national wholesalers, GPOs, and IDNs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Travel:

This role requires up to 50% travel in a fast-paced environment.
