Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for greeting clients and managing the reception area, client outreach, and appointment scheduling. In this role, it is important that you quickly and expertly assess the needs of job seekers and guide them through employment. This is a critical role in that you will be responsible for the first impression of the center, initial assessment of job seeker needs, overview of career center services, and directing the job seeker to the right service quickly.

  • Recruit eligible youth for Job Corps Program.
  • Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers and public events.
  • Responsible for meeting departmental and center goals and objectives.
  • Conduct orientation and interview with applicants including parent in case of minors.
  • Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents on e- file).
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements.
  • Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices including social media channels
  • Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
  • Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
  • Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
  • Excellent computer skills including some experience in design and marketing software.
  • Availability to travel to the Eastern and Central area of Puerto Rico.
  • Must be fully bilingual.

Education:Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field, and 2 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Current valid PR Driver's License category 4 required.
