Security and Identity Management Technical Specialist

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.

The access management administration function is responsible for supporting access management functions for CEC and ICAM systems, resources, and USDA users. This includes adding or managing accounts, supporting, and facilitating periodic validation of accounts and access in CEC and ICAM systems, and generating and providing access reports.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Security and Identity Management Technical Specialist: $92,000 to $102,000.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Security and Identity Management Technical Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare, configure, administer, and support identity governance and access certification campaigns.
  • Refresh and update account information as required, validate data and assignments prior to execution.
  • Provide access management support in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Maintain the Access Administration Tracking Tool, in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic account validation, verify inactive accounts, and notify appropriate individuals of necessary changes.
  • Produce and distribute ad-hoc access administration reports to CEC management.
  • Monitor and respond to the ticket queues. Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate tickets in accordance with internal processing procedures.
  • Create, update, and run scripts for CEC-managed Active Directory domain accounts, including inactivity and account disable scripts.
  • Review process and procedure documentation to include, but not limited to, requirements of OMB Circular A-130 and A-127, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.
  • Process account deletion requests.
  • Provide training and support to customers on policies, processes, procedures, certification campaigns, and tools for access management and requests including System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) processes and account governance.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts regarding report format and content and generate monthly status reports.
  • Generate quarterly elevated privilege account reports.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Security and Identity Management Technical Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, cybersecurity, or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012.
  • Demonstrated experience with identity management tools (SailPoint, GovMinder, or similar).
  • Experience with Splunk Fundamentals and Infrastructure.
  • Practical experience with Python and MySQL.
  • Practical applications of safe data management.
  • Proficiency with ticketing solutions (Jira, BMC Remedy).
  • Encourages and facilitates effective teamwork.

  • Work is performed in an air-conditioned office environment.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
