An IT Systems Engineer job in Woodinville, WA is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. The IT Systems Engineer will implement, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure, use enterprise security best practices and assess, protect, and monitor corporate resources.

Systems Engineer job responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows servers and workstations, Active Directory, O/M365, group policy, SQL and supporting a small quantity of Macs.
  • Patching systems with technologies such as SCCM, PDQ, and Jamf.
  • Documenting tickets, processes, and procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • Performing backups, including cloud-based backups.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise on phone calls and through the ticketing system.
  • Providing technical expertise and experience to evaluate new technologies and acting as an escalation point for tickets prioritized from Service Desk resources.
  • Working with multiple hardware and software technologies including network, VMware, SAN storage environment, backup software, NextGen Antivirus/Zero Trust security solutions, and system monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting server/network/cloud technologies and monitoring server/network/cloud health.
  • Performing capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Documenting infrastructure configuration information and ensuring as-built information is current.
  • Leading/collaborating on the development and improvement of infrastructure standards and procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure policies, procedures, standards, and specifications to clearly communicate expectations to project teams, external vendors, and partners.
  • Recommending, justifying, and implementing improvements using the change control methodology.

Position Requirements:

  • Windows Server Administration: Expertise in Windows server administration is a must. Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows server environments and services (AD/DNS/DHCP) is essential for ensuring the reliability and security of our infrastructure.
  • VMware Proficiency: Experience with VMware virtualization technologies is required. Candidates should be skilled in deploying, managing, and optimizing VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
  • Server Technology: Bonus points for expertise in Cisco UCS or Dell server technologies. Experience in configuring, managing, and maintaining these server platforms would be highly valued.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and time-management abilities.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Network training/experience is a plus: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, certificates, SD-WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, network traffic analysis.
  • Experience with Intune, Modern Device Management (MDM), etc.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, PowerBI, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, etc.
  • Demonstrated understanding and adoption of DevOps principles and practice: Familiarity with Azure DevOps and the mindset to leverage its capabilities for streamlined project management, version control, continuous integration, and deployment is advantageous.

Your Compensation:

$80,554 - $104,656/yr. based upon relevant experience.
