What you'll do:

Responsible at a divisional level for all aspects relating to technical support and product sales/support related to onboarding new clients. A high level of technical and product knowledge of AAB systems and the various accounting software used by our customers is required in order to properly address their questions and correctly connect their systems to the bank's applications. Onboarding specialists must have strong communication and training skills as they are responsible to perform initial training to our customers on new services. The Onboarding specialist must carefully listen and work with the customer to understand the features they need of each product to be able to properly establish the new service in a way that fits the customers' company. They must also keep customer, Relationship Bankers and Sales informed throughout the onboarding process.

What we are looking for:

  • An Onboarding Specialist must be able to multitask, onboarding several customers at the same time that are in different stages of the onboarding process. They must manage work assignments to establish application setup and client access to bank products while staying on top of what makes each customer unique, in order to insure their set-up accurately supports their business model. Each customer is unique therefore how they are set up to interface with the bank, is critical to our clients success.
  • The Onboarding Specialist actively participates and helps design AAB Ops procedures, staying focused on process improvement initiatives in order to ensure alignment with what is communicated to customers and the daily experience of our clients once they move to their Relationship Banker. Share unique customer needs that are important to continue to provide excellent customer service, that was identified during the onboarding process, to Management, Sales and the Relationship Bankers .
  • The Onboarding Specialist is the "face of the organization" (with the exception of the sales rep) that the customer works with therefore they must always present both positive and negative information to the customer in a professional manner, clearly and concisely. They must know how to interact with a wide variety of personalities (which can include multiple personalities within a single company) to help the customer understand that we are a partner in managing their business's financial needs.

What you need to have:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • 5+ years of direct, related experience in Customer Service/Banking
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Strong speaking & writing skills for internal & external audiences (ex: sales or leadership)The Onboarding Specialist must be an excellent listener and a champion of change, to help a customer work through the change of moving banking relationships. Always exhibit support and commitment to improve client experience and organization strategy. The Onboarding Specialist will also identify efficiency opportunities and client experience improvements. They sell services not offered by the Sales Associate if it is a better fit for the customers needs.
  • Work on your own, with limited support, to implement the services each customer needs. Manage the onboarding process for each customer, constantly reaching out to the customer to move them through the process and remove hurdles/road blocks that keeps a customer from completing the onboarding process. Ensure product and application implementations are completed successfully in support of the customers business model and provide training to new customers on all products and services offered by AAB that the customer chooses to use.
  • Understand the banks policies and AAB Operational procedures in order to ensure compliance to rules throughout the onboarding process. Be the banks Subject matter experts on all ConnectLive customer integration and problem resolution.
