The Income Tax Team at Cloud Software Group is a dynamic team of strong and highly motivated performers. We work cohesively and support each other to produce great results for the Company. We are responsible for worldwide income tax planning, financial statement reporting and income tax compliance.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Worldwide Quarterly and Annual Income Tax Provision process including Tax memos, Uncertain Tax Positions, partner with accounting team to obtain data, work with international accounting on calculations and coordinate with outside tax service providers. Work with tax technology solutions to work efficiently and effectively. Manage the provision review engagement with external Auditors.
  • Coordinate with outside tax service providers for income tax compliance, review of federal and state income tax returns, Form 5471s, GILTI (Global Intangible Low Taxed Income), FDII (Foreign-Derived Intangible Income), Section 41 research tax credit (federal and state), Section 174 capitalization/amortization, Foreign Tax Credits, Section 382 & 383 limitations, and accounting method changes. This will include managing the PBC data flow from accounting to outside tax service providers and preparation of book to taxable income differences and schedules. Assist with quarterly tax estimate tax calculations and payments. Manage preparation of the Report of Financial Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) and Secretary of State filings (SOS).
  • Prepare for and respond to federal and state income tax audits for Tax Auditor requests with the goal of settling tax audits to mitigate risk and cost. Respond timely and effectively to taxing authority notices. Identify areas for improvement or tax positions that impact future tax filings and positions based on closed audits.
  • Assist with development, implementation and overall management of global tax strategy and tax structure. Coordination and synergy with the transfer pricing team to ensure the maintenance of transfer pricing policy and process. This includes preparing a listing of cross-border transactions and contemporaneous documentation of transfer pricing.
  • Assist Tax Management in providing tax strategies and structuring for mergers and acquisitions, oversee tax due diligence process, and structuring for implementation of acquired companies.
  • Assist Tax Management with tax planning special projects and provide a range of tax results and impacts. Be effective at resolving complex tax issues and using online tax research tools. Manage state income tax return process and focus on tax savings opportunities for state income tax return filings.
  • Keep abreast of new tax legislation and advise Management of tax impact. Manage implementation of newly enacted tax laws.
  • Identify areas for improvement and work with other teams to effect changes through process improvements and use of tax technology.
  • Provide timely and quality service to Tax Department stakeholders including Accounting, Finance, Legal, Sales, Procurement, Payroll and Human Resources.
  • Manage Tax Department Global budget, coordinate Engagement Letter/SOW preparation and signing and procurement process.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax
  • CPA or Master's in Accounting or Tax a plus
  • A minimum of 4 years of directly related tax experience Big Four Accounting and/or Corporate Tax experience preferred
  • OneSource Income Tax Provision Software knowledge preferred
  • Alteryx Software knowledge a plus
  • Good working knowledge of US tax laws relating to international tax operations
  • Curious mindset and are able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Team oriented, highly motivated and self-sufficient individual
  • Strong sense of independence and initiative; ability to problem-solve both larger processes and smaller issues
  • Attentive to detail, self-starter with strong accounting, analytical, research and computer skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate expertise in U.S. federal, international and state tax rules
  • Excellent organizational skills; proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting
