Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
- Focus on building the next generation model development and execution platform including data sourcing
- Platform will leverage a host of interesting technologies including Spark and Hadoop and utilize a unique, user-configurable, workflow-driven, model execution approach
- Review technical designs with the development team and ensure it meets the business partner requirements and is a scalable solution to meet longer term strategy
- Perform data analysis as needed to design data models, data standardizations, data quality/integrity checks, etc.
- Highlight critical issues / risks across the program and work with partners to identify solutions
- Key contributor in Agile routines including sprint and capacity planning, prioritizing tasks for monthly releases, back-log maintenance
- Review initial testing/analysis of implementation/results to ensure the accuracy of implementation
- Provide support for business partners in required user acceptance testing
- Identify and manage cross project or functional interdependencies skills
- Understand business requirements and lead analysis and translation into technical requirements including budgeting and technical documentation
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Python, RDBMS (Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server) knowledge for SQL code development
- Basic Unix OS skills and Shell scripting; Agile methodology (hands on experience in Epic and Story writing)
- Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication
