Job Description

Primary Function:

Provide maintenance support for the site. This includes repair, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide variety of industrial building, equipment and process systems including plumbing and electrical/mechanical maintenance.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily maintenance crossover meetings to prioritize and assign work.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Perform test and inspect items per computer generated schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Repair of equipment breakdowns.
  • Scheduled maintenance according to scheduled shutdowns.
  • Orders parts from vendors.
  • Issue items from stores.
  • Work with schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot systems.
  • Respond to building emergencies.
  • Work with operators on process improvements and train operators on routine preventative maintenance.
  • Support engineering projects including trials and installation.
  • Design and build necessary parts.
  • Coordinate with contractors as needed.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance department and after completing jobs.
  • The responsibility for working in a safe manner and following all HS & EP regulations, policies and procedures including participation in First Responder training.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with at least 5 years industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems & controls.
  • Mechanical machine repair experience.
  • RSLogix 5, 500 and 5000 Software.
  • Communication Protocols (RS232, Ethernet/IP, DH and DH+, ASI bus network)
  • Knowledge of instrumentation theory (4-20 MA, 0-10 VDC, process scaling etc.)
  • Knowledge of transducers and their operation (pressure, temperature, flow, distance, I/P etc.)
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong communication skills.

Special Skills:

  • Working knowledge of DC drives and AC frequency drives
  • Working knowledge of PLC's, preferably Allen Bradley
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate variety of hand tools, and operate a forklift

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, stooping is required as part of this position.
  • Majority of work is performed in the manufacturing area.
