The Women's Health Specialty Clinic is designed to provide comprehensive care to women and people with uteruses of all ages, offering resource for much of your healthcare needs. Our team of providers include primary care, OBGYN, Urogynecology and mental health services from University of Minnesota Physicians to offer services in a unique woman-centered environment. Our clinic is conveniently located on University of Minnesota Medical Center campus - West Bank. Our physicians and advance practice providers, who also serve as faculty at the University of Minnesota, are specialists in women's health, focusing on the whole person and making use of appropriate therapeutic approaches and disciplines so you can reach your goal of achieving optimal health and well-being.

Patient Representative Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists with phones and schedules future appointments and/or procedures.
  • Welcomes visitors, provides non-clinical information, collects co-pays, and enters/verifies health insurance information at check-in
  • Oversees the clinic lobby and patient waiting area and ensures it is clean, orderly and inviting
  • Arranges accommodation and/or interpreter services as need needed for the patient visits
  • Resolves non-clinical patient customer service issues
  • Assists with coordinating provider schedules and appointments
  • Improve efficiencies of clinic schedules and to reduce patient waiting times and enhance customer experience
  • Requests/obtains/sends medical records and diagnostic test results from patient visits to other providers as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of Patient Representative training program and OJT within 5 weeks of hire.
  • Knowledge of online scheduling and experience with EMR systems
  • Keyboarding skills of 35 wpm.
  • Proven experience in customer service

Location: M Health Fairview Women's Health Specialty Clinic - 606 24th Ave S Riverside Professional Building, Minneapolis, MN 55454

Hours: 1.0 FTE - Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
