N-able is looking for a data-driven pricing leader responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing long term pricing strategies. Reporting into the CFO, this person will work cross-functionally with business leaders and develop and lead company wide monetization strategy and policy. This candidate will own building out the pricing function by helping to build out the team design processes, set metrics, and establish governance to achieve company goals.

In developing pricing strategies, the Sr Director of Pricing Strategy will be expected to generate and validate hypotheses using market, competitive, customer and partner research and analytical methods. We are looking for a self-starter and owner who will drive cross-functional participation, alignment and execution. This person will the expert in their domain and expected to be the strategic voice at the table as we drive our overall strategic initiatives forward.


What You'll Do

  • Build Companywide pricing strategy and programs based on company objectives
  • Develop a road map for future strategic pricing function
  • Identify, lead and implement projects taking them from idea to execution in partnership with finance, marketing, product, sales and customer success.
  • Performs analysis to determine pricing strategies based on analytical rigor leading to optimized sales, profit, and customer segment penetration across product categories and channels
  • Deliver recommend solutions to senior leaders and provide regular executive updates
  • Drive implementation of recommendations, coordinating stakeholders across operations, sales, renewals, finance, marketing, and product
  • Guide and perform "Willingness to Pay" studies to establish pricing for new products
  • Create and refine pricing models for new and existing products
  • Collaborate closely with sales & product management to understand product positioning, product usage and review pricing models and changes
  • Use hypothesis-driven approach to develop business cases that align pricing and packaging with customer value and to drive growth
  • Oversee development of metrics and dashboards that monitor price performance and empower the go to market teams to deliver results
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer segments, competitor offerings and market trends
  • Partner across the company' product, go-to-market and finance teams to deliver strategic recommendations and analysis which drive growth.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+year of Pricing Strategy experience. Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or Sales Strategy experience is a plus
  • Deep pricing experience, ideally Security, SaaS, Software, or Cloud Platforms
  • Understanding competitive offering pricing, and discount structures and help build campaigns
  • Broad commercial experience & acumen
  • Strong expertise in market and customer research
  • Analytical mindset, ability to work in a structured/ systematic way
  • Prior experience successfully leading change management efforts. Prior experience working across cultures.
  • Effective relationship, and team-building skills with the ability to manage change and act as change agent
  • Effective in communicating complex ideas or concepts in a clear, concise, and understandable manner across different levels of the organization, both verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation skills, including use of PowerPoint
