About the job

The Senior Director for FP&A and Corporate Analytics will lead an international team of financial analysts, data scientists and data visualisation analysts to transform and oversee the execution of financial planning and analysis processes and systems to best practice public company standards.

As a Senior Director, FP&A and Analytic Insights you will:

    Report to the Vice President for Global Business Support
  • Be responsible for the design and execution of all corporate financial planning processes and for all financial reporting and analytics delivery to senior executive and divisional leadership.
  • Support financial reporting and disclosures to external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partnering, Controllership, Accounting and other teams across SAS, to drive the delivery of reporting, analysis, actionable insights and engagement which ensures timely, accurate monthly financial reporting, the establishment of corporate financial goals and which optimizes data driven leadership decision making, business wide.
  • Be a CPA and change leader, with extensive multinational public company FP&A and Analytics leadership experience and with a proven track record of system, process and service transformation and service delivery excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
  • Qualified CPA
  • 12+ years progressive leadership experience, overseeing long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and analytics delivery for large multinational organizations (ideally in technology and/or services sectors).
  • Extensive recent public company experience in a Corporate FP&A leadership role, with a thorough understanding of GAAP principles and SEC requirements related to financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Current on developments in GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements and latest best practice financial planning and analysis systems, processes and concepts.
  • Highly evolved interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, able to clearly convey complex financial concepts to senior executives and stakeholders within and outside of Finance.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to shape and direct data management, financial planning, reporting and analysis direction.
  • Proven change leadership and project management experience, successfully initiating and implementing best practice FP&A and analytics team, systems and process transformation initiatives on a corporate wide basis.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, up to and including the C-Suite
  • Exceptional commercial and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing corporate analytics strategies i.e. KPI development, implementing data-driven decision tools and processes, and leveraging analytics to deliver insights to drive business growth and support long-term business objectives
  • Experience establishing and working with a data room for internal use and for external investors or M&A activities.
  • Proven leadership of remote international teams, able to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement across the team
  • Must be eligible to work in USA. International travel up to 25%
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (i.e. MBA or Masters in Finance) preferred.
  • Possesses comprehensive understanding of ICFR principles, practices and regulations to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of company financial reporting processes
  • Mastery in advanced data analytics tools and techniques, including experience with business intelligence platforms, data visualisation tools and predictive analytics.
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills to analyze complex financial data, identify patterns, forecast future performance and evaluate strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, up to and including the C-Suite
  • Exceptional commercial and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work successfully within a rapidly changing environment
