A major success factor for the company continues to be the development and deployment of breakthrough Digital Signal Processor and Mixed Signal Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) that drive the performance and value of new products. We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Design Architect R&D engineer in the ASIC Technology organization. This technical position is responsible for the Digital & DSP chip level architecture development, RTL design, and verification of digital and mixed signal ASICs.

We are located in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the base of Pikes Peak. You'll collaborate in a team environment to design and verify digital and mixed signal ASICs that meet test & measurement product functionality, quality and schedule requirements. Responsibilities

As Digital Architect Engineer on the ASIC team, you will be responsible for research, development, digital architecture definition, DSP algorithm development, RTL design and verification of advanced digital and mixed signal ASICs. You will help solve complex and high impact design and development problems including customer application issues of varying scope and complexity. You will use product and customer applications knowledge to determine, define, develop and validate design concepts and methods. You may also be involved with system integration and product design support to enable production and delivery.

* Lead the entire spectrum of full ASIC design activities including definition, architectures, DSP design, digital logic design, IP validation, verification, and synthesis * Lead technical consultations with other business leaders and managers for research and development of new product strategies and roadmaps
* Lead verification of the full ASIC and the turn-on and debug of the ASIC in a product

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: * BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering * 5+ years of experience in digital design/verification* Experience in the developing digital ASIC/system architectures* Experience in leading design and verification of digital or mixed signal ASICs* Experience in DSP algorithms either in ASICs or FPGAs* Leadership skills to gain credibility, drive change, and influence partners towards higher levels of execution, return, and productivity.* Solid mathematical background and fluency with Digital Signal Processing theory and Digital Design Techniques* Proficiency in software models and how these models are used in the design, verification, and programming of an ASIC
* Strong teamwork and written/verbal communication skills

Wanted Qualifications:* Experience with digital ASIC design methods and tools like Cadence or Questa.* Understanding of analog design basics * Fluency with object-oriented programming* Experience with ASIC/FPGA design flow, methodologies, and process* Ability to multi-task and to engage with multiple projects, engineers, and partnerships
* Familiarity with test plan design, regression testing, and functional coverage.

Colorado pay range: MIN $132,450- MAX $220,750

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
