JOB SUMMARY Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket, forklift, medium duty type section truck, backhoe wheel loader, on and off-track excavator, double axel roto on track dump truck, ballast regulator (set up for snow removal) tie crane, ballast regulator track tamper tie inserter spiker and spike puller. Will maintain right of way and build new railroad track. Will lay out rail tie and other track materials. Will do snow removal and clear vegetation. Will direct work group on daily activities/tasks and work closely with the Project Manager and Operations Manager. Typical hours during Production are M-F 5am-4pm. Maybe 1 Saturday per month. Typical hours during Maintenance are M-F 7am-3pm. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |||
|
To be successful in this position, you will need: One year of related experience or training. Be able to direct work group. Be able attend inhouse DOT training the first winter. Must be able to qualify as valid worker under FRA standards. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Must be able to obtain DOT medical card. Ensure FRA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training. |
