Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team providesa range of products that enable data engineersanddata scientiststo extract intelligence from all data-structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric. The Synapse Data Warehousing team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on the Distributed Query Processor that powers both the Data Warehouse and Lakehouse workloads in Microsoft Fabric. ResponsibilitiesLead development of features from the front, driving the development lifecycle for ambitious features from prototype/inception all the way to widespread customer adoption.Generate software specifications, proof-of-concepts, and prototype solutions given high level feature requirements.Work closely with team members to unblock each other and share learnings and knowledge.Use data and telemetry to improve feature work and propose feature improvements to existing products.Maintain consistent communication with customers and stakeholders.OtherEmbody our Culture and Values
