Description

Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 5:15pm, rotating Friday 8:45-5:15/9:45-6:15 with 2-3 Saturday's 8:45am-12:15pm.

Your Role
Ensures members receive friendly, accurate and timely assistance. Assists Head Teller in managing day-to-day cash operations. Trains and helps Tellers as needed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and wire transfers. Assists in balancing ATM, recyclers, and audit duties. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Schedules, trains, and assists with performance reviews, coordinates teller activities. Works as primary teller line supervisor when Head Teller is not present.
  • Monitors the work of other tellers, assists with developing staff, answers questions about products and resolves member or staff problems that are within their authority to resolve.
  • Maintains member records and cross-sells credit union services.
  • Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
  • Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • In addition to Teller 1 & Teller 2 requirements, maintains a high skill level among tellers, schedule tellers to meet member demand at a minimum of cost.
  • To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.
  • Manages escalated member experiences.
  • Less than 7 posting errors per year.
  • To successfully recommend a new product or service to all members you work with.
  • Balance personal cash drawer on a daily basis.
  • Works as the primary teller line supervisor when Head Teller is not present.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School education or GED. Required
  • 2-4 years Two years to four years of similar or related experience. Preferred
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. (High proficiency)
  • Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. (High proficiency)
  • Must have good communication skills for training other tellers. (High proficiency)
  • 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills. (High proficiency)
  • Accurate with numbers and names. (High proficiency)
  • Campus Cash Operations Certification Required
