Essential Job Duties | The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional support and management of the Hazardous Building Materials Program throughout the University. Examples of such materials include but is not limited to: asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), lead paint, and mercury. The individual is responsible for completing inspections and conducting surveys to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and University requirements. The incumbent will provide technical support to architects, engineers, project and program managers, clients, coworkers, and other agencies. This position responsibilities include oversight and administration of hazardous building materials abatement projects.
Duties include: Complete safety and compliance inspections of hazardous material abatement activities conducted by contractors, third party consultants and University employees. Assess adherence to applicable regulatory standards and University operating procedures. Complete or oversee/review third party hazardous building material surveys to ensure both accuracy and thoroughness. Professional Knowledge
