This PM role will work across multiple natural resource disciplines including federal land management, conservation or natural resource management and must be able to understand our clients' business, influence stakeholders, act as a trusted advisor, and build credibility quickly in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will oversee a team of GIS analysts and a portfolio of diverse geospatial projects relying on authoritative enterprise data services and innovative web applications to inform federal land management. You will identify process or system improvements, evaluate new tools, and shepherd solutions through stakeholder engagements to achieve agency buy-in. You will use your knowledge of agile project management methodologies to guide project delivery across the full lifecycle of geospatial solutions.

This supervisory position requires an understanding of Esri ArcGIS technologies, with a strong understanding of the capabilities of ArcGIS Online including Experience Builder, Survey123, and StoryMap, (Safe Software FME and Python would be helpful), experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a matrixed team environment, experience with natural resource management, and assertive definition and assignment of technical tasks to leverage GIS analysts' time most efficiently.

Qualifications

* Experience with project management frameworks: Agile and Waterfall. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), or PMI certifications a plus.

* Experience with federal and natural resources clients preferred.

* Sound understanding of software development lifecycle including modern ESRI technologies and tools, particularly enterprise geospatial solutions.

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, addressing a wide range of audiences (client, team, technical, non-technical, project stakeholders, peers).

* Experience working directly with clients on business development as well as project management, requiring credible negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

* Experience managing teams, including skills development, coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive input and support.
