The Granicus Accounting team is a dynamic and high performing group that partners with both internal and external customers to drive success for the Company. We are looking for a motivated and effective leader to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate would be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating. This position can be based in St. Paul, MN, Denver, CO, Washington, D.C. or Remote in the US or Canada
What your impact will look like here:
  • Assumes responsibility of month end close tasks include (but not limited to):
  • Prepare and post all company payroll journal entries
  • Prepare variance review for management review as part of financial reporting
  • Prepare and post accrual and other various journal entries
  • Manage Fixed Asset Module, prepare adjusting journal entries and month end reconciliation
  • Manage Prepaid Module, prepare adjusting journal entries and month end reconciliation
  • Track hardware deployments and validate revenue recognition
  • Review and post all journals related to lease 842 module
  • Coding and recording of company credit card transactions
  • AP and Expense report accruals for expenses occurred but not yet received
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy, prior reconciliation experience preferred
  • Assist with ad hoc projects specific to acquisitions
  • Assist in supplying documentation in a yearly external audit
  • Maintain deferred revenue waterfalls and haircut entries as part of acquisitions
  • Record all AR and AP journals related to operational team requests
  • Order hardware via Salesforce shipping requests and reconcile within NetSuite module

You'll love this job if you have / can:
  • You have 1-3 years of related experience in various accounting roles (AR, AP, general ledger, revenue, payroll)
  • You have a BA/BS in Accounting or a related field
  • You communicate well with team members and customers
  • You have intermediate MS Office skills
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
  • You are detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • You have effective project management skills, including challenging the status quo and identifying needs to re-assess existing approaches/processes
  • You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • You demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
