Job Description

TDX Holdings is recruiting for the position of Payroll Specialist. This is a regular, full-time position located in Anchorage, AK. This position reports to the Payroll Manager.


JOB SUMMARY:

This position, working in conjunction with the current payroll staff, completes payroll objectives for TDX companies, ensuring all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. The Payroll Specialist is accountable for the timely processing of multi-state payroll tax payments and filings. The position also assists in support of the accounting department when required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Timesheet review, cost coding, and data entry of weekly and bi-weekly timesheets.
  • Perform payroll calculations and processing using accounting software.
  • Maintain complete payroll documentation for paper & electronic files.
  • Remit and report payroll taxes and monthly, quarterly and yearly reports in a multi-state, multi-company environment, reconciling to the general ledger.
  • Willing to perform a variety of other accounting duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Three years of experience in payroll, demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility and desire to learn.
  • Knowledge of payroll labor laws and multi-state payroll taxes and concepts
  • Effective organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve issues
  • Competent in multi-state payroll tax filings preferred
  • Must have knowledge of SCA, CBA and Davis Bacon payrolls
  • Reliable attendance is required to perform the job
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook), internet use and spreadsheet development.
  • Familiarity with payroll software, Viewpoint and DataBasics preferred
  • Knowledge of ACH banking.
  • Should have a professional appearance, be energetic, and take pride in work
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred
