Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, human nutrition, food, and nutrition (Dietetic Emphasis, Family & Consumer Science, or equivalent undergraduate program) plus three (3) years of related experience OR a related Master's degree is required.
The person hired for this position must be able to drive a motor vehicle, lift and move food demonstration equipment, and manipulate food and kitchen implements/appliances with fingers.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Ability and willingness to secure and maintain ServSafe Manager, Instructor, and Proctor
-Ability and willingness to complete an out-of-state Canning College 2-day course and/or official Master Food Preserver program.
-Licensed, Registered Dietitian
-Master's degree in Dietetics
-Professional experience providing educational food demonstrations
-Professional, hands-on work experience in a culinary arts field
-Professional experience in nutrition education for groups
-At least 2 years of experience in design and delivery of food demonstrations
-Experience with a variety of food preservation techniques
-Excellent verbal communication skills and presentation skills
-ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
-Ability to travel, with the potential of occasional overnight stays and occasional long days
-Experience motivating adult learners and eliciting behavioral change
-Experience with recipe and nutrient analysis software and/or databases.
-Attention to detail
