The T-Mobile Product Leadership Team is looking for a highly skilled Senior Manager of Product Management to own and lead T-Mobile's connectivity-based product experiences like our 5G Home Internet experiences, Scam Shield, etc. This individual will take explicit ownership of the team development, execution, strategy, end to end experience, and impact the future products. We're looking for an empathetic person that brings a startup demeanor, bias toward thoughtful action, and a burning desire to build innovative teams and products that deliver impact. You will partner closely with marketing, legal, privacy, UI/UX, Frontlines, vendors, and engineering to complete our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively leads technical product and engineering teams to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, tools to do job by role and conducting performance reviews and conversations. Creating training, career development plans and ensures assignments with increasing levels of responsibility Monitors and measures work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
  • Defines and drives continuous development practice improvements across technical subject areas and organizations (e.g. team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance).
  • Supervises technical relationships with multiple assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.
  • Driving and owning current and future state technical road map in collaboration with Design and Enterprise Architecture and building/maintaining cross organizational teams.
  • Interviews and hires qualified managers and team members, aspiring to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years Relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • 2-4 years experience in a leadership role
  • 2-4 years experience leading teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in a Product Management organization.
  • Shown success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, and shown writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.
  • Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.
  • Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest.
  • Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives.
  • Consistent record to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience
  • Ownership attitude demonstrated by communication for technical delivery across projects with senior leadership and across partner organizations.
  • A growth mindset with a natural curiosity for objective understanding.
  • Demonstrative experience anticipating bottlenecks and balance business needs versus technical constraints to move products forward quickly.
  • Deep technical and software expertise, and an outcome driven approach.

Nice to have:

  • Experience leading development products iOS, and mobile apps which collaborate with cloud components.
  • Experience working on connected car, smart watches, trackers, and other IOTs.
  • Experience leading complex projects and collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with handling Jira including workflows and standard processes.
  • Experience leading programs for IOT products and/or consumer applications (mobile & web).
  • Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent with SQL, Tableau, other analytical solutions like SAS, SPSS.

Washington Pay Range : $192,300.00 - $260,200.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
