QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Technician is a key role within MCI that is responsible for ensuring that our high-quality standards for coaches built in our facility are met and to ensure the accuracy of all units delivered to customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Inspects coach build for quality and accuracy to MCI specifications and standards.
  • Completes and updates required checklists and signs off all inspections and releases as per gateway requirements.
  • Documents defects and re-inspects as required.
  • Supports reduction of rework by highlighting repeat problems
  • Assists with root cause problem solving where required
  • Verifies production tests as required
  • Assists other inspectors as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
  • Sound Knowledge of MCI coaches and building process
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on details to ensure quality is maintained at all times
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment considered an asset.
