QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Technician is a key role within MCI that is responsible for ensuring that our high-quality standards for coaches built in our facility are met and to ensure the accuracy of all units delivered to customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Inspects coach build for quality and accuracy to MCI specifications and standards.
- Completes and updates required checklists and signs off all inspections and releases as per gateway requirements.
- Documents defects and re-inspects as required.
- Supports reduction of rework by highlighting repeat problems
- Assists with root cause problem solving where required
- Verifies production tests as required
- Assists other inspectors as required
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Sound Knowledge of MCI coaches and building process
- Demonstrated ability to focus on details to ensure quality is maintained at all times
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment considered an asset.
