Production Supervisor
*This is a Night shift position. Hours are 7pm-7:30am; (2, 2, 3 rotation where you would work 2 days, be off 2 days, work 3 days and then the rotation repeats)

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to hourly team members and working cooperatively with other Shift Supervisors to assure the highest level of performance in Safety, Productivity, Quality, Cost Reduction and Employee Engagement. Responsible for delivering hands on training of production workers, management of inventories, resolution of production bottlenecks, implementation of process improvements and coordination of operations special projects as well as other duties as requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory Operations/Manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
  • Maintain positive and active communication with employees and other departments to achieve stated manufacturing objectives.
  • Train, coach, mentor, and recognize employees to maintain a high level of shift performance.
  • Show leadership and commitment to RC14001/EHS&S.
  • Promote and participate in Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Conform with the EHS&S Policy and the Cardinal Rules.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure workplace and meet environmental site requirements.
  • Accurately and timely report accidents and incidents to EHS&S and other appropriate departments.
  • Participate in required EHS&S and quality training.
  • Manage direct reports time and attendance daily to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist leads and hourly team members with day-to-day production as needed and help with efforts focused on increasing production without sacrificing safety or quality standards.
  • Assist department supervisors by utilizing quality system to support problem solving and track corrective actions.
  • Assure the right balance of headcount planning with qualified personnel to run efficiently the production line.
  • Analyze and accurately report downtime to maximize output of the shift and department production.
  • Effective problem solver with focus on permanent process improvements.
Training/Development:
  • Monitor and schedule team members to complete company training program at target rate or higher.
  • Administer annual reviews to create growth path for team members.
  • Assess competency-based training needs with training coordinator.
  • Support hands-on training/on-boarding with team members with proper follow-thru to support the hourly team members.
Project Coordination:
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel.
  • Establish and execute a project communication plan.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel.
