Job Description

Red Wing Shoe Company, a renowned leader in quality footwear, is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join our dynamic Materials Management team. At Red Wing Shoe Company, we pride ourselves on delivering "Best in Class" results, and this role plays a crucial part in achieving that goal.

As an Inventory Analyst, you will be instrumental in managing inventory within our manufacturing plants. You will analyze key data, facilitate transactions, and enhance processes to ensure optimal inventory management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Lean Material Flow and Plan For Every Part (PFEP) initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide analytical support for the implementation and maintenance of Lean Material Flow and PFEP methodologies across our manufacturing sites.
  • Lead the cycle count process, including root cause analysis, action planning, and overseeing year-end physical inventory.
  • Drive the development and execution of effective Kanban systems.
  • Identify and mitigate slow-moving or obsolete inventory items.
  • Establish reports and metrics to measure inventory management effectiveness.
  • Lead process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement measurements to assess process effectiveness and evaluate proposed changes.
  • Execute daily inventory management activities and transactions.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field and minimum of three years of relevant experience in inventory, purchasing, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASCM (formerly APICS) certification is a plus.

Qualified candidates should have basic knowledge of manufacturing and footwear industry; Strong communication and collaboration skills; Proven ability to drive results and execute tasks with attention to detail; Be proficient in Microsoft Excel; Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities; Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations. Previous experience in production planning is desirable.
