As a Domestic Logistics Planner, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing the transportation of goods within the country, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating and monitoring the transportation of goods within the country.
  • Liaising with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Tracking shipments and updating stakeholders on the status of deliveries.
  • Managing transportation costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Resolving any issues or delays in transportation and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
  • Collaborating with other departments to optimize logistics processes.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of domestic transportation regulations and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and TMS logistics software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What will make you successful:

  • Modes of Transportation: (Multiple is a plus, but at least one is required)
    • Flatbed Trucking Experience
    • Liquid Tanker Experience
    • Dry Van Experience
    • TMS systems using EDI and Carrier Portals
