Weston is hiring a Fuels Service Order Writer/Project Coordinator to collaborate with fuel technicians, subcontractors, designers, CAD technicians, estimators, and other team personnel to compile a detailed scope of work(s) for minor repair work on petroleum systems/equipment at various government installations.

Location: Remote

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Able to research, analyze, interpret and present data.
  • Able to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Able to carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Able to travel intermittently for days at a time and have a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of the Adobe package a plus.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with colleagues, vendors, and subcontractors. Must be able to explain scopes of work (SOW) and obtain quotes from vendors.
  • Understands or have a knowledge of the principles of operation of a fuel system (Jet and or ground products) and its components is a plus, but not required.
  • Demonstrate technical training via formal certifications or past experience. Preferred service lines: mechanical, civil, or electrical. Preferred but not required
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, a plus.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Collaborate with fuel technicians, subcontractors, designers, CAD technicians, estimators and other team personnel to compile a detailed scope of work(s) for minor repair work on petroleum systems/equipment at various government installations.
  • Communicate frequently with the established point of contact at various government installations to fully understand the required repairs.
  • Research the required parts, materials and equipment needed to make minor repairs. Work with various vendors and/or subcontractors to obtain pricing and specification information.
  • Ensure the details of the scope work are written within the Department of Defense (DOD) United Facility Criteria (UFC) program.
  • Prepare a request for proposal (RFP) package for the minor repairs and work with vendors and/or subcontractors with any questions on the scope of work.
  • Assist in preparing associated work plans and safety documents
  • Assist the Project Manager in estimating and tracking project costs. The Associate should become acquainted with the procedures which are necessary to compile a bid analysis for vendor and/or subcontract pricing and research unbalanced bids when required.
  • Assist the Project Manager with data tabulation/evaluation tables to include profit models for each project.
  • Prepare the document package for each repair to include the scope of work, bid analysis, material specifications, and work plans. Perform quality control checks.
  • Assist the Project Manager with scheduling projects, coordination with the various government installations and subcontractors

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $64,100 - $80,000
