Provide mechanical engineering for Capex projects and plant support as needed. This position possesses the knowledge and skills to assist the Project Team in performing engineering calculations, generating drawings and other technical duties.

Additional tasks include:

  • Detailed Engineering analysis, calculations, design, and sketches for Capex, plant support, and construction installations.
  • Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations, including field and design documents.
  • Develop equipment specs related to material handling, packaging, pumps, and tanks.
  • Provides supervision and technical direction to Designers, Drafters and Engineers.
  • Develop project scopes and estimates (hours and TICs) related to mechanical design and engineering.

Education Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineer or a related field.

Prefered Skills:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Design Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with AutoCad.
  • 5 years' experience in creating equipment specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of drafting and design standards and procedures
  • Working knowledge of ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, API and other code and regulatory requirements as they apply to their area of work and the implications they have on the project.
  • Presentation of calculations and results in an organized manner and orderly record keeping are necessary skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the chemical industry and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrate a continuing awareness and implementation of safety practices in the workplace and in the production of CADD drawings ("Safety in Design").
  • Proficient with MS suite and autocad.

Pay Range:$88,300.00-119,385.00
