The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual to lead our Office of Education team as the Medical Education Program Manager. This is an administrative position that does not interact with patients. Applicant is eligible to work remotely for up to two days per week after successful completion of probationary period.
Under the indirect supervision of the Pediatrics Vice Chair for Education, the person in this position will work closely with Program Directors and staff members to manage the following programs and activities:
This position is responsible for all administrative and financial areas of the Pediatrics Office of Education, including:
Our office exists within the Department of Pediatrics, which is part of the UNM School of Medicine. We are entrusted with the rewarding responsibility of working with faculty and learners to ensure the successful pediatric education of medical students and physicians at various levels of training. Five education programs are coordinated by our office and our staff is cross-trained to assist and cover for each other when needed. Additionally, we are part of a large, supportive network of other pediatric medical education coordinators nationwide.
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are supervisory level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
