Description

The Inventory Analyst is part of the Lindt & Sprungli (North America) Inc. (LSNA) Logistics team, which supports Lindt USA, Ghirardelli, and Russell Stover chocolate brands. The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for coordinating inventory activities between the third-party logistics service providers and the brands. Responsibility includes ensuring cycle count procedures are maintained, coordinating third-party audits, and tracking and validating all inventory-related activity. This position will also be responsible for coordinating with the transportation team to validate customer over, short, and damaged (OS&D) claims. The position will be based in Kansas City, MO and will require minimal travel.

Essential Functions

  • Track and research OS&D claims in conjunction with 3PLs and LSNA transportation team and provide reporting to the brands (inventory control, customer service, and finance)
  • Manage, track, and review 3PL adjustment activity
  • Use adjustment data analysis to assist in driving improvements and reducing adjustment activity in 3PL inventory management.
  • Analyze and provide reporting inbound damages and monitor the damages/rework/recoup process. Collaborate with 3PL and brand resources to minimize inbound damages and to efficiently rework/recoup product when possible.
  • Support mock recall and recall processes for LSNA network
  • Coordinate cycle count programs with brands, LSNA, and 3PLs
  • Coordinate with brands and outside auditors for mid-year and year-end inventory audits
  • Maintain adherence to LSNA inventory SOPs with 3PLs
  • Work with brand procurement to validate and process vendor receiving discrepancies
  • Coordinate aged inventory review with brands to provide disposition on obsolete items
  • Monitor inventory integrity for inconsistencies and inaccuracies in the LSNA network
  • Coordinate with brands and 3PL sites to monitor order cuts and provide reporting on them to the brands, LSNA and 3PLs
  • Execute reworks and repacks in conjunction with the brands and LSNA teams
  • Coordinate efforts for brand requested inventory interventions (item conversions, reworks, relabeling, QA holds, etc.) at the 3PL sites

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional experience in inventory management or combination of experience and education
  • Supplier management experience
  • Experience with analytics and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with and support members of various teams across several companies
  • Ability to work proactively in teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Experience with 3PL providers
  • APICS certification
  • Prior work experience in both an office and warehouse environment
