Job Description
Our team is looking for an Engineering Technician to support our Software Quality Assurance organization! In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of various test suites across our product lines. You will support the initial triaging of issues, work with team members to call out problems as needed, and aid in maintaining our labs. If you are someone who has the ability to take on issues and find solutions, with a background in automated test scripting, we want you to join the team!
Responsibilities
  • Run test suites (both automated and manual) and report results
  • Triage basic setup and script issues
  • Report defects in a defect tracking system and document lab test procedures
  • Debug test setup (HW/SW) issues with the mentorship from engineers
  • Rework and fix circuit boards with written instructions
  • Maintain lab, conduct inventory management, and test setup bring up
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or closely related field and 1 or more years of confirmed experience (Experience in lieu of education will be considered)
  • Basic software knowledge in languages such as Python and/or C (no expectation of coding, we are only looking for a basic understanding of code to aid in automated test execution)
  • Possess strong organization and documentation skills
  • Ability to solder various types of components (CSP, BGA, QFN, 0402, 0201, 01005) is a plus but not required
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on lab test/debug experience during pre and/or post-silicon validation with scopes, logic analyzers, circuit emulators, and other lab equipment
  • Experience working with lab equipment (Audio Precision, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and/or power supplies will be a great plus)
  • Perform skilled re-work and mechanical modifications at the board or system level
