What You'll Do:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge curriculum that supports LGE Community Credit Union's learning needs. The Learning Architect - Instructional Designer will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that's main objective is to enhance internal members careers and service skills through innovative learning solutions. This position will combine business data, and design thinking to build multimodal learning experiences that drive improved business results against the highest-priority business objectives and strategies. Implementing and evaluating training results to create the best possible learning experience, while solving organizational learning gaps will be crucial to the success of the position.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement creative learner-centered content, modules, and materials in multiple mediums including but not limited to: * In-person and virtual instructor-led training * E-courses * Videos * Facilitator and participant guides * Manuals * Presentations * Infographics
  • Responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of mission critical learning programs
  • Conduct training needs assessments to support the learning and development initiatives of LGE's business units
  • Analyze the needs of learners to craft learning experiences that enable individual growth while driving business impact
  • Assist in the evaluation of learning content using a variety of qualitative/quantitative methods to drive design/development improvements, and conduct a read-out to stakeholders
  • Maintenance and development of the Learning Management System (LMS) and the curriculums/courses that reside within the system
  • Working experience using interactive media creation/graphic design tools including Articulate, Storyline 2, SharePoint, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video editing
  • Develop learning and performance objectives that are appropriate for the audience, meet Learning & Development standards, and align with LGE's strategic goals
  • Oversee professional representation of the LGE brand in all learning materials by following branding guidelines, organizational communication standards, and Learning & Development templates
  • Proactively review and update training content/materials for accuracy, enhancements, and opportunities
  • Identify and prioritize learning opportunities/performance gaps using multiple needs assessment approaches and analysis
  • Balance instances of content creation, project rollouts, and day-to-day tasks that may run
    concurrently
  • Assist with Help Desk ticket management system for Learning & Development requests
  • Consult with external vendors to establish partnerships for learning solutions (online, virtual, and actual) that align with organizational goals for improving the LGE learning environment
  • Maintains current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education
    training/seminars and reading related periodicals
  • Provide consultative expertise/resources for internal teammates, managers, and leadership in
    response to their requests for assistance, or proactively in response to a perceived/identified need
  • Assist with conducting organizational, departmental, or individual assessments to identify
    actual/desired states for achieving targets and measures for each area's respective goals
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational and instructional design workflows by leading the
    development of targeted continuous improvement tools and templates
  • Proactively stay abreast of industry regulations, trends, processes, and enhancements pertaining
    to the L&D industry
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team towards the creation of an LGE CUSO to
    better help the communities we serve
  • Be familiar with and follow all policies, procedures, and processes which have been established in
    order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations. The regulations
    include but are not limited to the Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank
    Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg. CC and Patriot Act

Who you are:

  • Required: BA/BS degree in Instructional Design, or related field
  • Required: 3+ years experience in the design and development of training for adult learners
  • Required: 3+ years experience in using and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Required: Comfortable working, speaking, and presenting to all levels of LGE including senior leadership
  • Preferred: ATD Instructional Design Certificate or equivalent certification
  • Preferred: Working experience using interactive media creation/graphic design tools including Articulate
    Storyline 360, SharePoint, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video editing
  • Preferred: Well-versed in Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Teams, Power Point, Outlook, Word, and OneNote
  • Awareness of universal design and other innovative considerations in online environments
  • Creative skills in designing instructional graphics, user interfaces, and the overall visual aspect of courses
  • Proficient in learning technologies and the future environment they will be used in
  • Expertise level of understanding instructional design best practices
  • Wildly comfortable in not always having the answers, but excited to seek them out
  • A love of learning and a desire to help others succeed
  • Demonstrated drive and experience to continuously improve - both yourself and our teams
