Salary: $55,930 DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To work cross-functionally across all company departments and product lines to produce cutting-edge product concepts and design solutions with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics, and usability

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Assist with concept generation and evaluation while collaborating with multiple departments

*Produce computer models of concept design for presentation, prototyping and production

*Responsible for the aesthetic and ergonomic design of new product

*Collaborate daily with Research & Development (R&D) Engineering and Product Management teams to develop new products

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be skilled in time management, a creative team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, honest and a self-starter

Must have the ability to:

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Work as part of a multi-disciplined cross-functional team

*Ability to visually communicate concepts through visual thinking, sketching, and rendering

*Maintain multiple projects simultaneously

*Prepare and build prototypes

*Use hand tools, standard power tools and standard measuring devices

*Proactively conduct consumer research

*Travel domestically and internationally as needed

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*Proficiency in sketching and able to clearly communicate ideas

*Basic working knowledge of 3D surface modeling with SolidWorks or similar parametric modeling software

*Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and KeyShot

*Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production processes

*Intermediate knowledge of industrial design methods

*Constant and keen awareness of latest industrial design trends and manufacturing processes/techniques

*Basic model making/shop skills

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

PERFERRED SKILLS

*Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or KeyShot preferred

*Lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*No experience required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 1 year of design experience in an industrial design or R&D environment supporting design, manufacturing and technical processes preferred

*Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION

*Associate Degree in Industrial Design

PREFERRED EDUCATION

*Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design preferred

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
