The UNM Department of Pediatrics is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to join the Office of Research team as a Program Specialist. The selected individual will oversee various administrative and regulatory support activities related to pediatric research studies and quality improvement projects. They will primarily serve as a regulatory contact and liaison between internal and external constituencies, including the Department of Pediatrics' investigators, IRBs, and Sponsors. Duties include preparing, submitting, and maintaining local and single IRB study records, as well as provide and oversee specialist administrative and regulatory services in areas such as faculty professional development activities, local and federal regulatory compliance, and/or development and relations. Some clinical study coordinating duties are also required for this position if needed, including conducting assessments, ensuring protocol adherence for specified study, and maintaining accurate records.
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
