SUMMARY

The Inpatient Clinical Dietitian Supervisor is responsible for assisting management with supervising and coordinating the clinical dietetic services in Grady Health System. This role involves assisting in the management of a team of inpatient clinical dietitians, ensuring the provision of high-quality nutritional care to patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes.

JOB DUTIES

- Assist management in leading a team of inpatient clinical dietitians and dietetic technicians.
- Assist management in the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of dietetic staff while fostering a positive and
collaborative work environment.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nutritional care plans for patients and ensure compliance with nutrition protocols and
standards.
- Review and assess patient medical records for QA compliance.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for dietetic staff.
- Coordinate continuing education to keep staff informed about the latest nutrition-related research and practices.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
    - Communicate effectively with staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
    - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition care services.
    - Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
    - Able to provide advanced clinical care for inpatients including NFPE, malnutrition documentation, recommendations for
    enteral and parenteral nutrition along with counseling on dietary modification as needed.
    - Assist in research development to support quality nutrition care using evidence-based practice.
    - Additional Duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical dietetics, with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential, Licensure in state of Georgia
