Job Brief

Responsible for executing the activities of planning and scheduling for the Initiation Systems (IS) manufacturing plants. Interact closely with Procurement, Production, Supply Chain Planning & Distribution teams.

What You'll Do

As the Manufacturing Site Planner, you will be responsible for executing the activities of planning and scheduling for the Initiation Systems (IS) manufacturing plants. You will interact closely with Procurement, Production, Supply Chain Planning & Distribution, as well as Commercial to effectively plan and execute master schedules that meet our customers' requirements. Other duties include:

  • Continuously improve business processes in order to increase customer service performance (OTIF), build manufacturing flexibility, and support profitable business growth.
  • Promote, foster and demand an environment of Zero Harm through coaching and leading by example - SAFETY as the NUMBER 1 PRIORITY!
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulations
  • Lives and fosters the Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) values
  • Works closely with the site leadership teams to ensure our business culture is driven by our company values
  • Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
  • Drive customer satisfaction through consistent delivery execution, ensuring a cross-functional approach that engages each business unit within the Dyno Nobel Americas (DNA) Value chain
  • Daily management of production schedule through the development of production plans based on the master schedule, customer requirements, material availability and production capacity while ensuring on time and in full product delivery.
  • Escalation of all customer misses to the Supply Chain team and vendor underperformance to the Procurement teams.
  • Responsible for SAP data accuracy as it relates to production scheduling, including but not limited to, Bill of Material, Production Routings, Production Versions, WorkCentre capacity and Factory Calendars.
  • Resupply planning and inventory management for raw materials and semi-finished goods within the manufacturing plant.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Material Control, Procurement and Supply Chain to guide inventory management strategies that ensure optimal inventory to cover service level requirements and mitigate risks in continuity of supply while ensuring lowest cost to serve.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with vendors (material and transportation) in order to maintain excellent service and create improvement opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business Management or related field or associate degree plus Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Scheduling experience preferred, Will consider considerable manufacturing experience with work in Supply Chain, Sourcing or Scheduling
  • Supply Chain Certification preferred
  • 2+ plus years of experience in a Supply Chain or manufacturing environment
  • Production Scheduling, Inventory Management and Supply Planning experience preferred
  • SAP or other ERP planning suites desired
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
