What You Can Expect

As our Operations Shift Supervisor, in Washington, DC, at Georgetown University, you will be responsible for the safe and proper operation of all equipment in the central utility plant and East campus during assigned shift. Every day you will supervise the shift operation and coordinate operations support to maintenance of boilers, chillers, water treatment, fuel systems and associated equipment. You will also schedule, supervise and train Central utility plant employees; operates and monitors the central utility plant control systems to maintain proper operation of equipment, while supervising the cleaning of plant. You will prepare reports and ensure logs, and records are properly maintained. Subject to 24-hour emergency call-in. You will report to the Operation Supervisor.

What You'll Bring

  • You have a valid Department of Consumer Regulatory Affairs Steam Engineer First Class Engineer license
  • You have knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and experience with boilers, chillers, water treatment, fuel systems and associated equipment
  • You possess power plant operations experience
  • You can operate utility plant equipment in adherence to operating, environmental and safety procedures to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • You know how to operate & monitor the control system for the safe and efficient operation of boilers and associated equipment, chillers; and will document and address corrective actions needed
  • You will review and perform sampling and water quality testing
  • You will respond to emergency calls on campus for all distribution assets under ENGIE responsibility in order to make as safe as necessary and documents actions
  • You will prepare reports and logs on all outages and/or upsets occurring on the shift, equipment condition and maintenance checks, other reports as required
  • You will complete environmental reporting requirements, as well as Lock Out Tag Out records
  • You will complete other duties as assigned

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily, based on scheduled shift
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/might drive company vehicle onsite
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consists of 10% of outdoor work
  • Could involve some lifting
  • Ability to sit or stand for a long period of time
  • Occasional walking of less than one mile

Compensation

Salary Range: $52.78 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
