Job purpose

Responsible for wholly managing the overall business unit operations including sales, service, inventory assets, and administrative tasks. In conjunction, Business Unit Manager will be responsible for meeting the company's financial targets and adhering to the company's safety policies and practices.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist Operations Director in the development of gross profit and departmental expenses and monitors performance on monthly basis.
  • Ensures that established systems for monitoring individual departmental productivity and personnel utilization are implemented and maintained.
  • Oversees total business unit operations to assure the company personnel practices and policies are followed.
  • Monitors all phases of business unit operations by meeting the company's KPI's pertaining to vendor invoices, petty cash, time cards, no-charge billings, price sheet dates, inventory controls, facility upkeep, and any other management report needed to measure the effectiveness of the business.
  • Analyzes monthly receivable accounts. Organizes and directs an effective collections system.
  • Establishes regular meeting dates whereby the Sales, Service and/or Parts teams participates in a constructive analysis of the monthly statement of earnings.
  • Assist Operations Director in establishing business plan to meet/exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Work with all Divisional Directors to makes sure the company's policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality control philosophies are followed.
  • Ensures the team is constantly focused on internal/external customer service by ensuring properly qualified and trained personnel conducting daily business activities.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5 year(s) previous management experience
  • Must have working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency, Bachelor's Degree in applied discipline preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives.
