*This is a temporary position*

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Missile Systems Division Controller in all general accounting functions to include monthly closings, commissions, property tax preparation, insurance filings, account reconciliations, and administration of Concur expense reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various journal entries
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries
• Assist Controller in monthly closing activities
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for selected balance sheet accounts
• Assist in Concur expense reporting system, including oversite of company travel and purchase cards
• Provide quarterly and annual tax data to Corporate
• Support AR/AP functions in a backup capacity
• Provide data and assistance to external, internal, and US Gov't auditors on an as needed basis
• Define and implement process improvements when needed

Minimum:

• Bachelors Degree
• +5 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in government contracting environment
• Advanced Excel skills to include: pivot tables & vlookups

Preferred:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting
• 8 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in government contracting environment
• SAP or comparable ERP experience desirable
• Ability to multitask and work in a high paced environment both independently as well as a team
• Ability to compile data from various sources to perform analysis

Salary Range: $50.00-$56.00 Hourly Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
