Description

Responsible for applying the requirements of the Quality Program to the analyses they

perform. To evaluate QC data and initiate corrective action for quality control deficiencies

within their control. Implement corrective actions as directed by superiors.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for applying the requirements of the Quality Program to the analyses they perform
  • To evaluate QC data and initiate corrective action for quality control deficiencies within their control
  • Implement corrective actions as directed by superiors. Prepare test solutions and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct test. Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions, utilizing chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques by following the respective SOP
  • Develop, improve, and customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, and analytical methods
  • Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions
  • Direct, coordinate, and advise personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, or process information
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with SOPs, regulations, or standards
  • Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form
  • Report to the Department Supervisor

Skill & Qualification:

  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
  • It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems, Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop

  • Knowledge of the uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
  • Analysts are initially qualified by education with a minimum of a BS degree in Chemistry, Physical and/or Biological

*The pay range for this position is $20 - $24 depending on experience*
