With general supervision from the Director of Quality, responsible for developing curriculum and delivering technical training programs to support maintenance operations.

Essential Job Functions

      • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
      • Develops, maintains, and teaches maintenance training courses while integrating the adult learning style/theory training format, or other formats as applicable, within each aspect of Maintenance Department Training.
      • Develops and maintains the Maintenance Department training program to ensure regulatory compliance with IATA, CFR 49, OSHA, FAR, DOT, and EPA.
      • Maintains and audits training records while ensuring maintenance training courses are technically accurate and clearly relevant to the student's everyday work.
      • Uses data from the Maintenance department to continuously improve the training curriculum to meet or exceed company needs and/or regulatory changes.
      • Responsible for Maintenance Training facilities and assets to ensure they are maintained and effective for training. Responsible for obtaining training supplies and equipment while monitoring safe and efficient utilization of training materials.
      • Develops and manages the department budget to ensure availability of assets and personnel.
      • Performs as Cockpit Trainer and Examiner for Run/Taxi and TOW operations. Performs as Simulator operator and Evaluator for Run/Taxi Examiner certifications. Conducts forklift training.
      • Conducts new hire and recurrent training within established training curriculums and Company requirements. Conducts Maintenance Provider training.
      • Coordinates with Maintenance Base leadership to ensure training currency of station personnel.
      • Creates synergies with Flight and Inflight Services.

      Required Competencies:

      • A high level of judgment and initiative in implementation of departmental objectives.
      • Capable of conducting training equivalent to ATA Spec Level IV.
      • Proficiency with computer technology.
      • Ability to handle confidential information.
      • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

      Education & Experience:

      Required:

      • 2-4 years' experience in teaching/instruction
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

      Preferred:

      • Associates degree in Education or Aviation related fields .
      • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
      • 1-3 years' personnel management experience.
      • Instructional design and Learning Management experience.
      • Experience with Articulate, Moodle, SharePoint, UltiPro, Sabre CrewQual and PMI.
