Job Description

Post Glover Resistors, a well-established Northern Kentucky manufacturer of industrial, transit and utility electrical products, is currently looking for enthusiastic and talented people to join the Operations team as Welder in the Fabrication Department. We offer:
  • A 1st shift schedule, 6 am to 4:30am Monday through Thursday, Friday 5-8 hours overtime, Saturday 5-8 hours.

Position Responsibilities
  • Welds metal objects together by means of an arc welder (MIG and/or TIG) welder
  • Setup and operation of production equipment.
  • Check quality of parts when function complete.
  • Use of jigs, fixtures, dies, punches and clamps.
  • Fabrication of metal shapes or articles.
  • Repair broken or cracked metal objects.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment daily in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the group team leader.

Position Requirements
  • Welding certification
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings and welding symbols.
  • Ability to read gauges and tape measure
  • Ability to use a square, with ability to understand and measure angles
  • Knowledge of Kan Ban system preferable
  • Knowledge of power and/or air tool use
  • Knowledge of deburring process and techniques
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English with work instructions, computer screens, safety and training materials
  • A commitment to work the scheduled hours
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check 
Salary: $22.00- $25 per hour

Expected hours: 40-53 per week
