Please note that this is a fully remote position. The candidate'sbase location is flexible. However, the position requires travel, as necessary.

Quadel is the premier provider of technical assistance, management, training, and consulting services to the affordable housing industry. Our client base includes Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), federal agencies, state, and local governments, as well as private sector providers. Clients rely upon Quadel's team of experienced professionals to provide information, services, and products that comply with regulatory requirements and represent state-of-the-art industry best practices.

Summary:

The Director of Consulting plays a crucial role in overseeing contract work and provides strategic direction to the subsidiary workforce. They collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality performance, adherence to timelines, and effective utilization of resources across all business areas, including technical assistance and consulting, direct program management, contract administration, training, marketing, research, and other projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contract Management and Oversight:
  • Oversee core contractual responsibilities, including assembling teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely and high-quality performance.
  • Provide strategic oversight for projects/activities, coordinating with team members, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
Business Development:
  • Lead teams involved in competitive growth for the company, including proposal preparation, technical writing, research, and project management for submissions.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as a primary technical resource to clients, staff, team members, and other Quadel staff, ensuring work products consistently comply with regulations and industry standards.
  • Foster strong client relationships and proactively identify opportunities for client engagement and satisfaction.
Leadership and Quality Control:
  • Lead corporate initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to Quadel's corporate values and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to quality management system requirements and conduct Quality Control related tasks specific to the program.
Staff Development and Mentoring:
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to Managers and other team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages growth and excellence.
Other Duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the management or administration of affordable housing, rental assistance or other related programs.
  • Extensive experience in the design, development, or provision of training and/or technical assistance, consulting, or direct management of affordable housing or closely related public programs, including supervision of professional and technical staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining composure and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and superb analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective client and employee relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other relevant software applications.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:
  • Typical office environment with exposure to moderate noise levels.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently required to sit
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information and/or use a keyboard
