The Strategic Accounts Rental Specialist is responsible for driving rental growth of Caterpillar and allied equipment products by providing rental solutions and coordinating the rental process for our most valued customers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with our key customers is crucial to the success of this role to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to manage and grow rental revenue within the assigned key accounts portfolio.
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and outside sales reps, acting as their main point of contact for rental-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Understand each key account's unique needs and requirements, tailoring product and service offerings to meet their specific needs.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers and sales reps to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide solutions to enhance business outcomes.
  • Create quotes, rental agreements, and all rental inquiries as needed by customers or sales reps.
  • Estimate and communicate delivery date to customer based on knowledge of equipment and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and internal departments to ensure the best customer experience.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance rental performance.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Maintain product knowledge.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years sales or marketing related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the industry or with similar products/services is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and persuasion skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; Respond promptly to customer needs; Solicit customer feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance; Meet commitments.
  • Ability to focus on resolving conflict, maintaining confidentiality; Listen to others, remaining open to others' ideas and tries new things.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully; Develop alternative solutions; Work well in group problem solving situations; Utilize reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Moderate computer skills. Familiar with web navigation, experience working with databases.
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
