Brief Description:

The Associate Director, Analytics & Insights will play a central role within the Analytics & Insights team. The candidate will lead in applying cutting-edge advanced analytics methodologies to generate novel insights and actions, such as predictive analytics, leveraging machine learning, and other methodologies to uncover opportunities and truly understand performance. This candidate will also be responsible for leading digital and promotional response analytics through multi-channel market marketing efforts.The Associate Director integrates business insights across multiple data inputs, shares in supporting primary research efforts to support business objectives, and proactively identifies new opportunities for the brand. This individual will work in a matrix team with the Analytics Insights colleagues and cross-functional leadership partners in Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Commercial IT, and Sales Training to bring forth objective and strategic insights and analysis of brand and market performance analytics. This position will report to the Director, Analytics & Insights.

  • The candidate should be a highly collaborative, team-oriented individual with solid communication and analytical skills including the ability to present to large audiences and leadership skills to initiate, oversee, and drive impactful projects in a timely manner.

  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate good judgment and have evidence of strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, planning, and project management skills.

  • Contribute to strategic insights sharing across the franchise.


Essential Functions


This individual will:

  • Shape and communicate insights-driven, analytics-based recommendations to support business decisions and plans of action.

  • Apply cutting-edge advanced analytics methodologies to generate novel insights and actions, such as predictive analytics or leveraging machine learning methodologies to uncover opportunities and identify performance drivers.

  • Execute and implement analytical solutions in support of business opportunity and risk assessment, promotion response, and return on investment analytics.

  • Work in a matrix team to contribute and co-lead the Sleep IDEA Team and Sleep National Business Review meetings, which serve as a strategic platform to share market insights and performance updates, and enhance collaborative insights sharing across the franchise.

  • Contribute to brand executive review meetings and preparations for investor calls in collaboration with BU head and marketing and sales leadership.

  • Track and analyze key brand metrics nationally; providing the BU, marketing, and sales leadership with key national-level data required to successfully manage the business.

  • Represent the voice of the customer (e.g., physicians, patients) to the organization by maintaining and communicating a holistic understanding of the marketplace synthesized from an array of primary and secondary sources.

  • Contribute to team meetings with analytical support, brand planning analysis, patient segmentation analyses, promotional effectiveness analyses, and other advanced analyses as required for brand performance assessment/management.

  • Evaluate product utilization data (internal and external) at the national level to reveal brand performance insights; work closely with IT, Market Access, Sales Ops, and Data Strategy to identify key data sets and technology priorities to deliver key insights for the business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • BA or BS with a concentration in Life Sciences, Business, or Mathematics; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • 6 years+ of progressive experience in strategic analysis, planning, and analytics.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth, in-depth knowledge of common analytical tools, including Excel and Tableau.

  • Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meeting the needs of a growing business.

  • Deep experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., Symphony, IQVIA, EHR).

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and key business partners.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive.

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is $152,000-$228,000. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
