HSE Coordinator ( San Juan, Puerto Rico)

Are you interested in making a global impact? In this role you will serve as the operational and strategic support in terms of HSE regulatory and corporate compliance to the integrated commercial and operation business unit.

What will you be doing?

  • YDevelops and coordinates the HSE procedures to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations
  • Oversees the identification and prioritization of HSE initiatives in support of business needs
  • Manages the timely and consistent implementation of local required HSE procedures
  • Coordinates the efforts in the development, implementation, and facilitation of Safety Committees in the Commercial area
  • Oversees the development and delivery of specific safety training programs
  • Assigns work and provides direction for development and implementation of safety procedures oriented to accomplish emergency response and business continuity goals, evacuation programs and injury assistance standards
  • Oversees the design of a comprehensive ergonomic process
  • Facilitates the promoting of continuous safety improvement, PPE evaluation thru the best quality/price providers, healthy practices
  • Reporting Sustainability metrics quarterly
  • Acts in an advisory capacity to business unit management regarding HSE issues
  • Measures and monitors environmental impacts in conformance with HSE policy and government regulations
  • Participates in scheduled corporate HSE audits
  • Develop and implement an annual HSE Strategic Plan
  • Conducting HSE compliance inspections based on the HSE Manual for Commercial areas

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupation Health and Safety Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to learn quickly
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in an office environment and operate a computer for extended periods of time.
