- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems, applications, and related technologies.
- Cloud knowledge and experience (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Current, relative industry certifications and continuing education (e.g. Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, etc.).
- Experience with large project roll-outs.
- Experience designing, evaluating, recommending and implementing networking solutions.
- Manage a queue of work requests to meet service levels.
- Provide Troubleshooting and problem solving for network and application issues.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field.
- Strong technical engineering skills are preferred.
- Skills and experience with PowerShell and Batch commands.
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix ADC experience is a plus
- Extensive experience with Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory (AD), Linux platforms, VMware and related technologies.
- Experience with Nutanix or other hyperconverged platform
- Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Applicant should be able to operate confidently in and consult on complex environments that include distributed routing, loop-free access networks, Ethernet Fabrics, and is aware of the capabilities of software defined networks.
- Intermediate knowledge of enterprise class firewall management. Applicant should understand how to effectively create security policies based off of addressing, users, applications, and services.
- Knowledge of IPSec tunnels for site-to-site tunnels, SSL VPN, and other remote connectivity systems.
- Understand risk-oriented cyber security practices.
- Support experience with high availability solutions such as: clustering, data replication, dynamic resource allocation, and related procedures.
- Working technical knowledge of current enterprise compute platforms and their implementation and administration in a highly virtualized infrastructure.
- Perform advanced cli troubleshooting and packet capture analysis.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
