Position Description:

Designs and develops effective learning experiences, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, and multimedia content aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborates with departmental stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze training needs, design instructional strategies, and create engaging learning experiences to enhance Team Members knowledge of the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities' brand to improve business performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in implementing course mapping, incorporating each stage of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model into program design.
  • Possesses solid knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional systems design, and development models.
  • Develops customized instructional materials and products for classroom learning, blended learning, and e-learning courses.
  • Capable of developing customized instructional materials for diverse learning formats.
  • Skilled in creating course documentation, manuals, and support materials.
  • Provides valuable consultation on tailored instructional methods for optimal learning outcomes.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop training roadmaps, design, and delivery of courses using best practices, and to develop or refine instructional content.
  • Demonstrates basic project management skills for overseeing training projects.
  • Proficient in using content development platforms for creating engaging learning materials.
  • Incorporates grammar and visual design principles for professional training materials.
  • Capable of facilitating training sessions and adjusting delivery for effectiveness.
  • Develops and implements basic measurement tools for assessing instruction effectiveness.
  • Analyzes performance data to evaluate learning effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Displays commitment to the organization and to personal growth; self-motivated and able to motivate and inspire others; asserts self appropriately to champion ideas; and holds themselves and others accountable to the TRUST pledge.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • 2+ years' experience as an Instructional Designer or in training development.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional system design, and methodologies, and Bloom's Taxonomy.
  • Strongly self-driven; proactive in performance improvement; customer-focused.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Google Suites, Adobe Suites, Articulate, or other authoring tools; SCORM packaging and LMS logistics.
  • Experience with ADDIE/AGILE methodologies.
  • Proficient in curriculum design and development, instructional design, and formative assessment.
  • Advanced critical thinking and analysis skills.
  • Actively pursues professional development.
  • Knowledgeable of project management principles as they apply to Instructional Design
  • Adaptable to new technologies, problem-solving, and effective communication within a team.
  • Familiar with audio/visual editing, voice-over scripting, and recording.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
