Position Purpose:

The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Strategy and Development will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization, overseeing the implementation of the strategic plan, ensuring our programs and initiatives are aligned with our mission, and fostering innovation to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve. This position requires a strategic thinker with an unwavering commitment to improving both the life and work opportunities for people with disabilities.

The EVP of Strategy and Development is a member of the Senior Leadership team and reports directly to the President & CEO. This position will also work closely with the organization's Board of Directors and regional executive leaders in advancing the mission of VersAbility Resources.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead the organization's implementation process for the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our mission, values, and long-term objectives.
  • Work closely with the CEO and other executive team members to identify strategic opportunities and challenges, and to develop actionable plans for growth and impact.
  • Analyze trends and data in the non-profit and disability sectors to inform strategic decisions and program development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, business and community partners, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations, to advance our mission and strategic goals.
  • Lead initiatives to innovate and improve our service offerings, ensuring we are effectively meeting the needs of the communities we serve.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of performance metrics to measure the impact of our programs, initiatives, and strategic plan.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Strategic Planning Team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Education: Bachelor's Degree. Master's preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of strategic planning and/or leadership experience, preferably in the non-profit sector or related fields.
  • An understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the disability community and a strong commitment to our mission.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive both programming and organizational growth and impact.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a dynamic and changing environment.

Environmental:

  • Typically, the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work.
  • Travel to local business events and conferences will be required.
  • There will be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, etc.
  • These tasks are required less than 20% of the time. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
