The Loan Operations Loan Processing Specialist (Boarding) position is responsible for post-closing review of loan documents to identify loan terms and loan type coding for boarding loan information to the core loan system, including review of funding information to properly disburse loan proceeds. Entering the loan on the bank's Core loan system, processing funding, and processing associated fees. This position may also support the Loan Ops Help desk functions including processing loan advances, system maintenance and responses to the lending staff request.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review loan documents, compared to loan approval to validate the loan terms approved.
  2. Review/Process new loan funding and/or advances as specified on documents.
  3. Determine appropriate loan data from documents to board new/renewal loan to the core system with correct amounts, dates, codes, collateral and user fields.
  4. Process On Line Transactions as needed for interest/fees/payments.
  5. Update Sageworks boarding steps, add customer number if needed, associate proposed loan.
  6. Assist with regulatory, internal and external audit requests.
  7. Responds to email and telephone communication as needed to support lending staff.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    These specifications are guidelines based on the minimum experience required to perform the essential functions of the job. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines:

    High School Diploma and 3 years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience must consist of Loan Operations department or Lending Assistant with processing/preparing loan documentation to secure commercial, consumer and real estate loans. Educational experience, through formal school or financial industry related curriculum, is required to be applicable to the financial industry. Bachelor's degree preferred.
